Why you might like it

  • Originally announced by NCSoft in November 2011 as 'Lineage Eternal,' a sequel to the original 1998 Lineage — a long, high-profile development history gives this entry real pedigree.
  • After renames to 'Project TL' (2017) and finally 'Throne and Liberty' (2022), the game actually launched, with a Korea release followed by a global release through Amazon Games on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • As the direct successor to this project, Throne and Liberty carries forward large-scale sieges and a dynamic weather/day-night system tied to the original Lineage Eternal vision.

Things to consider

  • This profile's 'Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance' name refers to an early development-era build/title — for the currently live game, look up 'Throne and Liberty' specifically to avoid confusion with this now-historical name.
  • Development delays spanned over a decade (2011-2023), so treat any older screenshots or footage under the 'Lineage Eternal' name as outdated relative to the shipped game.
  • Reliable gameplay imagery was not available during the latest media review under this historical title.
