Nether
Nether is a first-person, persistent-world survival-horror shooter set a decade after an event called 'The Cull' mutated most of humanity, originally developed by Chicago-based Phosphor Games (later Pure FPS) and published by Nether Productions, releasing on Steam Early Access on October 29, 2013. Players scavenged an urban cityscape loosely based on Chicago for resources, crafted gear, fought sound-hunting teleporting mutants called Nethers, and later fought other players' tribes for control of strategic buildings in Territory Wars. This original version has since closed, with Phosphor Games later releasing a successor titled Nether: Resurrected.
